Preparation:

1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil or ghee in a pan and sauté mustard seeds, curry leaves and vegetables.

2. Add 1 cup roasted rava and stir briefly.

3. Pour in 2½ cups hot water, add salt and cook while stirring.

4. Cook until the water is absorbed and serve the upma hot.
