Preparation (Pepper Rasam):

1. Heat ghee and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves.

2. Add crushed garlic, tomatoes and cook until soft.

3. Stir in tamarind water, 1 teaspoon black pepper powder and rasam powder.

4. Simmer for 8–10 minutes and garnish with fresh coriander.

5. Serve hot with steamed rice or enjoy as a soup.
