Preparation:

1. Soak 1 cup Kala Chana in water overnight.

2. Cook until soft and tender in fresh water.

3. Heat oil and prepare a tempering with mustard seeds, curry leaves and dried red chilli.

4. Mix with the cooked chickpeas, garnish with grated coconut and serve as Kala Chana Sundal.
